The weather is sticky and warm on this 27th day in October, and lately people have been wondering what’s in the icebox as opposed to what to warm up with. The cold temperatures are right around the corner though, and so we are thinking of what to put on the shelves for the winter holidays.
One of our new arrivals is the Old New Orleans Louisiana spiced rum. The idea was conceived and born in the back streets of New Orleans 9th ward by a group of artists. A blend of rums are combined with the kick of cayenne and cinnamon, hints of nutmeg, ginger, and cloves to create this truly unique, truly New Orleans flavor. It would go perfectly with mulled cider and a stick of cinnamon.
We’ll be tasting it this Friday 10/29 from 6:00 -8:00 as part of our “Halloween Tasting Extravaganza”. We think this is a great choice to go with the theme of the holiday, seeing as New Orleans is known for being a city of old spirits and voodoo.
